On the morning of July 18th, 2020 at 0220 hours, Stafford EMS was requested to the area of the Causeway Bridge for a report of a boating accident with 6 possible patients. Upon arrival of Squad 38 units, 380 immediately established unified command with 381 assuming an operations role. Units then determined that additional resources were needed. Personnel from Squad's 12 and 14 responded and quickly tended to the injured. Captain 120 assumed the role of Triage and began assisting with those involved. As the incident progressed, it was determined that 6 subjects were on the boat, 1 of which that met trauma criteria. A MEDEVAC was requested to transport 1 of the 6 patients. Station's 46 and 49 responded and secured the landing zone at the EJ school in Ship Bottom. That patient was transported to AC Medical Center Trauma Division for their injuries. All units cleared the scene at approximately 0350 hours.
