Late Afternoon Parkway Crash Sends One to Trauma Center

At approximately 1734 hours on Wednesday, Stafford EMS responded onto the Garden State Parkway for a reported motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival of our units, it was determined that a vehicle had veered of the roadway into an embankment entrapping the patient. Chief 380 immediately established command while crews from ambulances 385, 386 and 389 tended to the accident and patients injuries.

With the assistance of the Stafford Township Fire Company, the patient was successfully removed from the vehicle and further evaluated by our crews. Further assessment showed that is was appropriate for the patient to be transported to a trauma center for further evaluation. Hackensack Meridian Health-Paramedics arrived on location shortly thereafter and assisted with patient care. LifeFlight Flight Network-MEDEVAC transported the patient to a nearby trauma center due to the injuries shown.

We would like to thank the Stafford Township Fire Company, New Jersey State Police, Hackensack Meridian Health-Paramedics, LifeFlight Flight Network-MEDEVAC and our crews for an excellent job operating this scene.

Also a HUGE thanks to Tuckerton Fire/EMS (Station 50) for providing in town coverage while our crews tended to this incident.
